To help applicants understand the scope of the role available, general assumptions and expected role details are made below.

Shoot party is likely to include:

  • 1x photographer (camera team)
  • 1x videographer (camera team)
  • 1x assistant (camera team)

  • 2 - 4x models - TBD

Camera team should be considered novices on water but are competent/independent climbers/mountaineers for land based activities.

Non-camera team members should be considered to be novices at all times.

  • To assist with logistical planning for all adventurous activities (sourcing of rental equipment, delivery, return etc, route finding to each location, contribution towards production of shoot timeline)
  • To write the risk assessments for land and water based activities and be the risk holder for the safety of all involved whilst undergoing these activities. Note, a separate risk assessment will be conducted for the entire shoot of which, will cover elements not related to land and water activities e.g to cover hazards like trips and slips due to camera cables, driving between shoot locations, COVID compliance etc.
  • To supply recommendations for additional staff resources where required to facilitate the shoot
  • To supply costings for elements contributing to the overall bid amount

Land based shoot:

  • to provide safety for the shoot party
  • to provide technical assistance for photographer, videographer, assistant, client and models on steep terrain

Water based shoot:

  • provide water safety for the shoot party
  • short term supply of 2 - 3 person canoe and appropriate water-based waterproof clothing for photographer, videographer, assistant to use
  • short term supply of 1 - 2 SUP boards and canoes and associated ancillaries for models to use in the shoot subject to the client's requirements
  • act as water safety for the shoot to occur, likely to be based from a separate craft
  • act as technical advisor on the shoot for a water based activity
  • provide local knowledge and location recommendations for the shoot

Interested applicants should submit their interest by the form below (please use the check boxes for your land based skills and the message box for your water based skills). In addition, please cite any previous experience held of similar work (incl any references, if available), details of fees and availability in the message box.

Applicants will be contacted promptly to discuss the details of their experience and their potential contribution to the project.

Application window is short to permit selection of an appropriate SME and submit bid for the work within the client's timeline. Upon acceptance of our bid we'd be looking for shoot planning to occur throughout August with the shoot being conducted in mid September.

Future work is likely upon the success of this shoot, possibly to include two similar shoots a year for two separate brands in the same industry.
