Xtreme Exposures specialise in providing epic adventure-themed photo content to businesses in the outdoor industry.
Xtreme Exposures specialise in providing photography services to businesses in the outdoor industry.
We love taking outdoor images, especially for the sports we love, but it's producing imagery that instills an emotive change for those who see them that really 'starts our fire'.
We offer a pair of complementary services to get your business up and running and also build on what's already in place; branding photography to get you known, product photography to highlight what you sell.
We specialise in climbing, mountaineering, cycling and trail running but are proficient at capturing high quality imagery of most outdoor sports.
We're outdoor people, our headquarters is in the Lake District and we spend our free time doing the things you do.
However, from the moment you hear our voices on the phone we're here to help your business grow. And when the pictures are taken, we'd like to think our aftercare is second to none.
We're a business that's built on an ethos to build long term relationships with our clients, which is why we endeavor to make sure you get whatever you need from us to help you grow, even if you don't know you needed it.
We have a pro-environment attitude and work as hard as we can to lessen our impact on nature - it's where we work, it's where we live, we cherish that and understand businesses who do the same.
We also offer client case studies, our opinions on the UK Outdoor Industry and photography tips to help your photography to improve.

XE works to the highest standard but with a friendly and approachable manner that puts both the client and model at ease. The results of our work together with XE have been seen around the world and had a great, positive response for being different and striking.
Al, was very professional and committed to getting great shots, even in the face of challenging weather conditions. We’re thrilled with the results and will definitely be back for more!
Very friendly, putting you at ease throughout. I would highly recommend him. Professional with a very quick turn around on photos. Many Thanks
What was really impressive was that he really managed to convey the connection between myself and my client. I'd really recommend him to anyone looking for quality branding photography in the outdoor industry.
I loved my shoot with Al from Xtreme Exposures. Having not met him personally before my mind was put at ease when we first met. He was charismatic, engaging and polite. He explained what it was he was doing throughout each step of the way. I really enjoyed the shoot and can't wait to do it again.

As well as being an outdoor image provider we're also keen on providing an informative resource to people who enjoy being outdoors.
Our Adventure Gallery is a collection of posts written by us, industry professionals and colleagues to inspire, educate and inform those who enjoy, work and live in the outdoors.
Mike Raine invites you to follow in his footsteps as he guides you on well trodden walks in the UK hills to find out what nature is up to but we often walk by.
Our top tips for getting your kids into climbing without having to be climbers yourself
From time to time we recruit for models to help us out on our shoots. These can be paid, others come with non-financial benefits. They're good fun, get you out into places you may not have been before and get an insider's perspective on what goes on in the industry.
Check out the details:
Xtreme Exposures was founded by Al Topping in early 2019. (You're right, it was very bad timing but no plan survives first contact with the enemy, right?)
Al's been an outdoorsman for over 20 years, first climbing and hill walking at school in the Midlands. He spent most of his former years at the crags around Derbyshire and in North Wales before moving to Scotland for university.
Nothing was better than a weekend away from school camping and climbing in Snowdonia living on tinned beans, counting pennies for a trip to the pub in the evening and climbing big adventurous routes we'd seen in the guide book.
Whenever he went climbing, Al took a camera, usually to take a photo of the routes he climbed so he could add them to his logbook but also of the people he climbed with in the places he went to.
Things have moved on since those days and now, as well as offering private clients photography services for weddings, portraits and event photography under the trading name Al Topping Photos & Film, Al runs Xtreme Exposures for those with similar passions for the outdoors as himself.
